Delivering commercial landscape maintenance for an international manufacturing conglomerate was not something Multhana Team Leader Meagan thought she would be doing after more than half a decade in civil engineering.
Her career switch to landscaping was one of the best decisions she’s ever made.
“It has been absolutely phenomenal for us girls”, says Meagan. “Everyone has been so supportive. It’s awesome to be contracting for such a well-known client. At first it was extremely daunting, being one of the biggest commercial sites I’ve worked on, but we received amazing support from our supervisor and client manager. The hard work is paying off – we are seeing great results for the site.”
Breaking ground in the traditionally male-dominated industry, Meagan and her team proudly manage the 25-hectare site 7-days a week.

The contract commenced earlier this year in another win for Multhana’s Landscape Maintenance division, which oversees commercial grounds and garden maintenance for clients throughout Southeast Queensland. Delivered through the Queensland Government Building & Construction Training Policy, the contract continues to create sustainable economic outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
