Multhana have been awarded a contract by ACCIONA for the ongoing sanitisation cleaning services for the Brisbane Metro site facilities and information centre.
This marks the second high-profile contract Multhana will deliver for the global sustainable infrastructure company, following the landscape construction package for Stage 1 of the Bruce Highway Upgrade (Caboolture-Bribie Island Road to Steve Irwin Way) project in mid-2021.
Managing Director, Joseph Wallace, says “it’s fantastic seeing major companies like ACCIONA engage Indigenous businesses. It sets a precedent for other businesses that Indigenous engagement is growing, and will continue to grow.”
The contract follows current bus sanitisation cleaning Multhana are delivering to Brisbane City Council’s fleet of 1200+ buses, under Transport for Brisbane.
Brisbane Metro is a new transport solution linking the city to the suburbs, and operating as a ‘turn-up-and-go’ service with no timetables needed. The project is fully funded in partnership with the Federal Government, completion of major construction is expected in 2024.
